Recommend measures to assess and mitigate security risk. Hands on approach on general security concepts and methods such as privacy assessments, intrusion detection, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies and corporate governance. Architected strategic discussions, shared expert analysis to drive improvements and led the restructuring of high-end resources to establish sustainable security framework.

Satyabir Singh (Satya), served in Indian Navy and held leading positions as Security leader of Naval Dockyards, Naval Airports, Naval Armament /Missile Depots /Bases, Naval Aircraft Carrier, Submarine Base etc. He is retired Naval Officer from Provost Cadre, with more than 30 years of rich and varied experience in the field of Security, investigations, vigilance and risk management as well as Executive Protection. Currently retired from IBM India Pvt. Ltd. after a stint of more than 8 years of successful tenure. He has held Security leadership role for North India region which includes crisis management, event security & executive protection, risk assessment audits & investigations. His ability to pursue and persevere till desired outcomes are achieved have been repeatedly acknowledged by business and security leadership teams.

Varun has been in the private security risk management industry for more than 18 years. Having started his career in the United Kingdom in 2004, he has supported risk management projects across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Tanzania. He is an Arts graduate from University of Mumbai, with a specialization in Economics. His professional training was gained through the Security Manager’s and Consultant’s Course conducted by Control Risks Group in the UK in 2009; and, MAX Security Solutions’ course on the Israeli Method of Proactive Threat Management in Israel in 2012. Being a hands-on professional, over the years he has supported more than 30 crisis management projects, 22 out of country and out of state evacuations, more than120 protective intelligence mandates, 75+ highly sensitive executive protection assignments including protective details for some of the business world’s most influential personalities, led the planning and implementation of more than 24 high profile events, trained 5000+ individuals and delivered over 200 Security Risk Assessment mandates & 24 security design projects. In 2016, Varun co-founded GRID91, a boutique risk management company based out of Mumbai. He has been supporting clients from various sectors, with a deep focus on delivering tailored risk intelligence, protecting at-risk individuals, delivering practical risk management solutions and offering bespoke training programs. As a startup founder and a risk management professional, he is a huge fan of building lean but high value for money customer centric solutions. He is constantly experimenting, failing grandly and gaining unique insights in his pursuit of building something remarkable.
